There are three types of degree which people can graduate:

Licence et Licence Professionnelle - Bachelor
Diplôme - Diploma
Doctorat - Doctorate

The types of subjects which are graduated the most in are not that discernable as there is a large number of subjects in universities.

Elves are effectively immortal -- ageless and immune to disease. As a result, many Menelmacari enjoy long and varied careers, tending to alternate between periods of study, work, and retirement, often in widely varying fields over the course of a lifetime.

The average Menelmacari holds four to six bachelor's degrees, usually, again, in widely varying fields. One in three hold at least one masters, and two in eleven a doctorate.

Sciences, engineering, and business are popular, as are the arts, which are usually studied fairly specifically. A generalized 'liberal arts' education is available, though rarely taken. Unusually (in the global scheme), Menelmacari universities also have thaumaturgical departments for the study of the arcane, another very popular field (and is, technically, considered a science).

Business degrees are most popular for a first-time run through university, as the skills learned can be applied to any industry throughout one's life; arcane studies is most popular for the second run. Nearly everyone finds, eventually, their particular passion for something (or somethings), and it is in those fields that one might take a masters or doctorate.

Education in Menelmacar is not funded directly by the government, instead provided by privately-operated schools and universities. Every Menelmacari citizen or legal resident enrolled as a student, at whatever level of study, receives an annual education voucher which can be put towards tuition. A similar (though much smaller) voucher is available to everyone for the purposes of continuous learning (i.e. training courses).

Hard to tell.... whole engineering sector is the vast majority (67.1%), but they're divided in various subjects, medicine faculty is considered "only one with following specializations" so have 11.5% of students, followed by nanoengineering (10.3%), electronic engineering (8.9%), chemical engineering (7.6%), aerospace engineering (7.0%) and art and design (5.9%).
We have almost no business degrees (our factories are almost all little/medium size, family runned) for accounting and similar we have business oriented high schools.

Engineerings and Sciences are the most common degrees, followed by Business and Economics. University degrees are, however, considered to be somewhat less necessary for a career here: An individual can get a perfectly fine, well-paying job with just a basic high-school level education, if it's a good school. We're not so big on unnecessary credential inflation, as our culture is not obsessed with magic credentials. You are what you know and can do, not what it says on some paper. The main thing a degree in a subject prepares you for is teaching that subject.

People are usually required to gain an Euro-Standard Level (ESL) in their chosen profession, most subjects require at least College level attendance. Some require only High School qualifications (such as GCSEs). However most employers will look for ESL holders at University level.

Immigrants are not given work permits unless they hold ESL degrees, thus creating an education market as well as insuring a good quality of skilled workers for the world.

Most professions in Saiwania don't specifically require degrees but may require certifications, because it often provides the same economic benefits as a degree in much less time and money. Only a select few elite careers might require advanced university degrees such as the Medical fields, Law, Administration, Science, Business, Mathematics, and Education. Most Saiwanians view higher education as an investment and place value on how profitable a degree or certification is potentially to their future economic prospects.

The government encourages all of our citizens to carefully weigh their options before high school graduation and to choose what is best for them- whether it be going into the police/military/public sector, furthering their education with a certification/degree, learning a trade, or simply entering straight into the workforce. We want a strong and diverse economy that is suitable for most socioeconomic classes and to effectively prevent credential inflation. The closest real life equivalent to our education system is that of Germany.
