The republic is a supernation by means of the unification of four nations. This supernation was the brainchild of Adun, who was a military commander of one of the nations. After he retired from service, he spent all of his time trying to unify all the nations in the region. He used his negotiation prowess to unify the region under one new flag. After a couple decades of work, he brought along an apprentice named Mutt. These two worked together to negotiate with various regional leaders. After the nations agreed to unify, the citizens of the region voted to name the new nation after Adun, and wanted him to become Emperor. Adun however declared that he was too old to govern this new nation, and recommended Mutt as the new Emperor. The citizens did not argue against his word. So Mutt was coronated soon after and ruled for two years before passing all of his governmental power to a democratically elected prime minister.
