Being formed by Swedish rebels, the official language of Olosta is Swedish. Other major languages include other Scandinavian languages (particularly Danish), Russian, and German.

Makaar has a single official language, Makaarian. Jagorian and Mantagnian have minority language status; Jagorian is a separate language altogether, while Mantagnian is a dialect of Makaarian historically spoken by those living in the isolated north and west.

While these two minority languages enjoy some formal recognition, they are secondary languages; everyone who speaks Jagorian or Mantagnian also speaks Makaarian, and Makaarian is the only language used in all official business and in education.

Fluency in English is also a prerequisite to acquisition of citizenship.

Typically, those in the capital speak Russian and is most common in government. Most know English to communicate with foreigners, and Spanish due to the Latin American influence of our region.

Originally Lithuanian was the primary language but when English was brought over to Holy Jaggerlonia it was enforced as the first language as such Lithuanian and English are Holy Jaggerlonia's primary language with English being the first language.
Estonian, Hungarian, Bulgarian and Latvian are minor languages.

Kotlian, a language specificially designed for practicallity. It was completed only about 200 years ago after about 100 years of development, when we decided to just suck it up and create a "perfect" language. The transition from various traditional dialects to what we now call "Kotlian" was difficult, but we are now better off for it, since Kotlian is very easy to learn (having uniform rules with no exceptions, one character per sound, being entirely phonetic, etc.), and can be spoken very quickly due to intense study of what sounds could most easily be made by our general populace. The scientists also worked on making look sick as hell.
