Water began pouring in the ship, and the stern risen out of the water. (it basically sank like the Titanic but didn't break in half) There was in total 5,932 passengers onboard and only 67 survived.

The conflict sparked after the assassination of King Silus Sharkium II by the communists, that started a 5 year brutal battle, that would leave the old nation of approximately 100 million to a staggering 2 million people. The monarchist loyalists won the war, but it was at a great cost, and no one in Sharksus wishes to go back to that type of society.

Our allies sent a missile strike at us, which caused most of those deaths. At least 10 nations were engaged it the conflict, so having an extra enemy wouldn't make too much difference.

Hmm.
Id have to say that for my Wonderful (Nonetheless with flaws) Nation, the worst disaster has to have been when a stupid, yet brave, un-loyal citizen decided to Car Bomb the Capital. HIs explosion on wheels killed more people than the Great War of 1957. 14,000 were reported dead just 1 hour and 30 minutes after the explosion. 3,000 more within the next hour. Only 195 surivivors recorded, but with extreme injuries. To this day, The Parliament is now a fortified bubble hovering about 20 feet off the ground. Any traffic in or out of the House is not permitted, and suspects will be shot on sight. How such a tragic event could benefit the Nation so much. Who knows?

There was a time when a few thousand of my Nations Citizens attempted to breed with bears. What a horrible sight that was. Oh, and you cant forget the time when we genetically altered humans with the DNA of a Bear, Valkyrie, and Panther! They now make up most of the Nations Armed Forces. We refer to them as 'Arnolds'.

Tsunami of 1804

The Tsunami of 1904, often just called the Tsunami was caused by a 7.1 Richter Scale earthquake south-east of Syleru's main islands caused a huge wave that came and devastated the south-east islands, eating up a majority of the urban development going on there.

The wave caused about $194 000 000 USD in damage and killed about eighteen thousand people because there was simply no where to go other than swimming, many survived due to the large pieces of building floating around, and the largest group came intact on a relatively large boat which was reported to of held 127 survivors with rations and minimal damage to the boat.

The wave also claimed an additional twenty-eight thousand people with minor or major wounds and only around seventeen thousand escaped relatively unscathed from the disaster.

A super-centenarian named Agathes Nuve remarked that the wave made you panic, but also gave you a healthy dose of endomorphines which she remarked was similar to a rollercoaster ride with it's many bumps and crashes.

Overall the wave gave way to new technologies to block waves such as glass domes near the coasts of the islands and less development on coasts, people are also investing in underground houses in case a similar catastrophe may occur.

Many Syleruians are positive that a disaster this big will never plague our nation again, especially since Syleru is way more highly-developed and prepared for these occurrences.
