Redsarkia uses a variety of mechs, primarily for heavy assault tasks. We separate them into two categories. Gundam are all piloted mecha over the height of 5 m. This term comes from the early designation of piloted mecha as mobile suits. Gundam is actually an acronym meaning General Unilateral Neuro-Link Dispersive Assault Module. The other category is a MAW (Military Assault Warrior), referring to all mecha below 5 m, most of which are either controlled by remote control or by a dumb AI.

Gundam
Mk 5 Templar
Image
A retrofit of a successful foreign mech design, the Templar is the heaviest mecha in common Redsarkian use. Its sturdiness and versatility, allowing for a decent maneuverability while bringing great defenses and weaponry to bear, has made it quite popular in the military. The armor has been replaced with heavy starmetal plating, providing it with much heavier protection at a much higher price. Additional protection is provided by a type IV probability deflector. Its top speed is 66 km/h. The Templar's primary weapons are its two gauss rifles, one on each arm. It also has 4 MRM launchers and two medium fusion blasters. Power is provided by a Sunbright heavy fusion reactor. The Templar is mainly used for attacking heavily fortified positions.

Mk 9 Shadow Cat
Image
The Shadow Cat is the most common mech used in Redsarkia. Like many designs, it is a retrofit of a foreign product. A top speed of 100 km/h allows it to get to its destination in good time. The engine is a Dragonheart fusion reactor. Its defenses are light starmetal plating and a type IV probability deflector. Its armament is a hellbore cannon, two LRM launchers, and two light fusion blasters. The Shadow Cat provides a variety of roles, often as part of spearheads.

MAW
Mk III Devastator
Image
Although in outward appearances resembling the dreadnought it was based upon, the Devastator is a different beast. This assault walker is controlled by a Doom combat AI overseen by remote control. A small Vibrant fusion reactor powers it. The Devastator is protected by plasmasteel-Iridium armor and a personal probability deflector. Its armament is a chaos storm bolter and a chain gun. The Devastator supports infantry attacks.

Me wants explanation, now.

Insanely low weight materials and yet the materials are extremly strong. before you say this is impossible, i play as an FT and PFT nation. Although i suppose i should increase the weight a bit, but technology can progress to this level.

He's using aerogel armor, obviously.

Actually, given the size, he's using aerogel for everything.

Tough we are a fairly young nation, the Allied States of Rosswood have a walker squadron:

Austrea takes pride in its battle mechs. Mechs are usually used in beach assaults and woodland assaults in battle. They are usually operated by a team called a Mech Operation Team. There are Gunners [Depending on number of guns], Driver, Loader, Co-Driver, Navigator, Radar operator, and Radio Operator.

Austrean Mechs:

Distruzi armed forces utilize a variety of walker based armored vehicles. From the basic Powered Battle Suit to the more potentWalkerTank, the industrious Distruzians have a plethora of mobile armored vehicles to choose from. The Kings personal armed forces have recently deployed the newest iterations of the fully armored combat vehicle: the Leonne and the SeigeMecha. Although rare, these machines serve as a warning to all of the Kings enemies that his military stands ready to address any concerns the Distruzi population might have regarding weapons of mass destruction while mitigating collateral damage as much as possible.

Have you considered chopping the legs of that and putting on a skimmer like engine (40K eldar vehicles)? Because the weapon layout would be quite something on that sort of thing as well.

The thread title says no tanks, but we call this a mecha-tank. It is ready to fight any bender (people who can manipulate the elements) that comes its way. The mecha-tank is made of solid platinum* since metalbenders (subset of earthbenders) can't bend a metal so pure. Two treads and a wheel in the back provide locomotion. A three-pronged claw on each arm can extend and retract with a cable, and can conduct electricity, shocking almost any bender in its path. It also comes with electrified bolas that can shoot from a hole in each claw. Some versions of the mecha-tank come with magnets, again, to stop any chance that a metalbender can fight back.

OOC: Based off The Legend of Korra. *Yes I know, this is implausible, at least in real life. But this isn't our world.

The Ragnarök Assault Mech
Image
Model Number: AM-54d
Height: 4 meters
Weight: 6 tons unarmed, 7 tons fully loaded
Land speed: 80 Km/h
Air Speed: 180 Km/h with standard jetpacks
Space Speed: This Assault mech is not optimized for space warfare
Armor: Light Deflective Nano Armor
Pilot: AI:AM-5x (Artificial Intelligence)
Shields: PS-27 Energy Absorbent Parabolic Field Generator
Armament:
4 Gun Mounting Bays
4 Special Weapon Bays
Standard Arrangement:
2x Heavy Toroid Auto Cannons (Hands)
2x Heavy 50mm Gauss Cannons (Hips)
2x Short Range Missile Racks (Top Front)
2x Laser CIWS (Top Back)

The AM-54d Ragnarök Assault Mech is the standard troop support mech of the republic, it's small size and relatively potent fire support make it a great complement for ground troops during assaults, it's simple architecture and cheap materials make it easy to mass produce which is also an advantage. By 3156 there will be one of these for every land assault squad.

Federal empire of Immoren uses mechs know as "warjacks". They are humanoid machines, powered by steam, and instead of human operator, they have magitec brain that is controlled from by arcanist known as "warcaster."
Example is Juggernaut heavy warjack from Khadoran Kingdom, which is as line breaker and destroying enemy fortifications close up
Image
But this is only used as example as each state of federation has its own models of warjacks and there are countless of different types in each state.

How exactly does it function on steam? (curiousity)

I don't remember and I don't have Iron Kingdoms books at me and I haven't found online.

I use both steamtanks and stormwalkers, although mainly stormwalkers. The backbone is the Cyklop stormwalker; the Almirian version sports a 57mm rifled gun and 2x Matzen machineguns.

(PLEASE IGNORE THE STEAMTANK ON THE RIGHT)
