There is use of different Calendar following scheluded alternance.

The Pagan Roman Calendar is used officially in "paired" years for itself (and the half-decade), so meaning the count of years V.C. (followed by diction "ab urbe condita"). This means (u.c. being 753b.C.) for 1753a.D.,1755a.D (1000V.c., 1002V.c. etc)

The Ancient Greek Olimpic in others, consisting in one Olimpic added each 4 yers, and followed by p.E. as "Greek Unities". First 480b.C. as Persian Wars. So 1520, 1521, as I 500 p.e., II 500 p.e.

Gregorian Calendar on pair year dates is also offical as similiar.

What calendar does your nation use?

Postby Parhe » Mon Apr 14, 2014 10:41 pm

We have multiple calendars. Officially Parhe used the Gregorian calendar with only common years, although differences in the planet and moon makes few alterations.

Traditionally Parhe also used a Lunisolar Calendar identical to the Korean Calendar in both name and function. On top of that Parhe's traditional solar calendar contains ten months that alternate from 36 and 37 days per month. The Parhic Calendar starts on what would be considered October 3 of the Gregorian calendar and ends with October 2. The ten months are Dangun, Buru, Gareuk, Osa, Gueul, Dalmun, Hanyul, Seohan, Asul, and Noeul.
Hey, it is Parhe :D I am always open to telegrams.

Zuppo uses a modified Pataphysical Calendar, with year 0 being vulgate 1921 as opposed to 1837. Other than that the calendar is the same.

Two are used:
In documents sent to foreign countries, the Gregorian is typically used.
Domestically, the traditional Nyukpokkhong(ຍຸກປົກຄອງ) calendar is used. The Nyukpokkhong calendar is similar to traditional Chinese and Japanese calendars in that it used the number of years into a ruler's reign and their name to determine the year. Dates before 1238(when the first unified Raemphusai state was formed) are measured by how many years it would be until 1238; thus, the Gregorian year zero would be 1,238 Years Before Unification. The current year in the Nyukpokkhong calendar is 4 Choummaly Phoumsavanh.

The Gregorian calendar is the standard calendar, however it is possible to find the Julian calendar in use as well, sometimes the notations (G) for "Gregorian", and (J) for "Julian" are used, this is to avoid confusion since sometimes a certain day can be different dates on the two calendar systems. For example the current date is 1st November 2014 in Wardie land, this is 19th October 2014 in the Julian calendar, so the date would be displayed as "1st November 2014 (G) / 19th October 2014 (J)" or "1/11/2014 (G) / 19/10/2014 (J)" under the Gregorian-Julian date notation system.

On other occasions the notations aren't used, and the Julian date is given in brackets after the Gregorian one, an example of this would be "1st November 2014 (19th October 2014)", a short date example would be "1/11/2014 (19/10/2014)"

Despite the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in the 18th century, there remains a lot of people who still prefer to use the Julian calendar, their ancestors refused to change over to the new calendar system, and instead continued using the Julian calendar through everyday-life, teaching their children the Julian calendar and not the new Gregorian one, the use of the Julian calendar was passed down through the centuries.

Also, we don't have a cycle of working and resting days like the Christian week; we have enough public holidays that weekends are unneeded. (On average, each month has 12 working days.)
