An Introduction

The Holy Nickian Empire(Commonly known as Nickia or HNE) is a sovereign state made of territories located in the tropics, north, Oceania and Mediterannean regions and a city state. The seven parts of the empire-Kingdom of Bardust, Kingdom of Ashtole, Principality of St.Ida, Principality of Sighland, Grand Dukedom of Togotan, Emirate of Afraan and Papal City of St.Andrews- are known as nations and cooperate as a single nation state under the holy nickian banner.

Situated around the globe, the Kingdom of Bardust is the most important of the nations as it is seat of government and home of the sovereign. The empire functions under a constitutional monarchy parliamentary system within a federal scheme. It is a country in its own right and consist of seven nations with distinctive lines of authority. Established May of 2010 by the Transition Act, the creation of the Holy Nickian Empire was seen as a means to cool regional tempers from the colonies while still keeping the basic notions of the Bardustian Empire in tack.

The Nickia is highly developed with a good economy. Led by its powerhouse tourism industry, the private sector fights a hard battle with the overwhelming public sector which holds roughly 65% of the economy. Having reached is industrial age in the early 1800's and ending in the mid 1900's, Nickia has slowly moved from a manufacturer and labour economy to service and technology based. A peaceful people, Nickia retains a standing military while still placing a great deal of faith in diplomacy. The Holy Nickian Empire is a member of the World Assembly and Imperial Commonwealth League of Crowns.
