Introduction
Clonetopia is an authoritarian interstellar nation populated by a diverse mixture of species. Notably, its workforce and military are made up of at least 20% clones. All citizens provide the government with DNA samples and clones are created from the citizens considered most useful to the nation.

Geography
Clonetopia stretches across many planets in many star systems. Noteable planets include:

Cradle
The planet where Clonetopia was founded. In all other respects, it is fairly average.

Capital World
Originally named Colony IV, it was renamed when its largest city, Pax Clonetopica was chosen as the Clonetopian Capital.

Eterset
The first of Clonetopia's semi-autonomous territories, Eterset is the home planet of the Snakemen. When investigated for colonisation potential, it was found to have a civilisation that revolves around ritual, yet also possessed highly advanced technology. Not wanting to risk the destruction of the technology and people who understood it, Clonetopia decided to attempt to acquire the planet diplomatically. Despite the difficulty of the language barrier, it was even more successful than expected, with the Etersetish people regarding the Emperor as some kind of messiah. Eterset continues to be a source of expertly crafted, bizarre but useful technology.

Niogoul
This semi-autonomous territory was already home to many different species, who had come to the planet through portals. Initially, Niogoul was highly resistant to Clonetopian rule and had advantages such as heavy cloud cover that made use of orbital attacks difficult. The conquest succeeded when one of the Niogoul nobles agreed to assassinate the King if he could become the planet's Govenor when Clonetopia took over. Niogoul is known for the relatively high proportion of Capramagnus living there, including the Governor himself.

A Brief History
Long ago, a small, deep space outpost was conducting experiments on clones of various species. One of these species, the Psionid, was particularly powerful and was being tested for use in warfare. While the facility staff took precautions to keep the specimens captive, one of the Psionids was able to break free using his species' inborn telekinesis.

Having escaped his cell, the Psionid freed the other experimental specimens, convincing most to help him fight against the base's security teams. Once the rebels had control of the outpost, the leader made the decision to keep the cloning facilities running and use them to populate the planet, which they would otherwise be alone on.

In time the population began to reproduce naturally and the leader, now calling himself Clonus, declared it a nation, Clonetopia.

Since then, the nation has become an empire, developing space travel that allowed it to claim many planets as territory.

Government
Clonetopia's autocratic leader and founder is Emperor Clonus, a member of the Psionid species that makes up roughly 1% of the empire's population. Governments of Clonetopian planets are considered mere administrators and do not have freedom to significantly deviate from imperial regulations. Exceptions are sometimes made for planets that were acquired more diplomatically, due to the worth of pre-existing industries. These are known as autonomous territories.

Species demographics
Human - 35%
Humans are considered a jack-of-all-trades and thus used in various roles throughout the empire.

Vectagar - 21%
Somewhat similar to humans in appearance, but shorter and broader. They are known for being highly competent with technology. While fairly tough and strong, they lack the long-distance eyesight and reaction speed to make useful soldiers.

Grunt - 18%
Seemingly half-way between a mammal and reptile, Clonetopian grunts are large, powerful creatures used in warfare. Due to their lack of patience and self-control they are not used for tactics that require finesse, instead being deployed when a strong show of force is required.

Hiver - 6%
Hivers are an insectoid species known for being very orderly. They are a relatively recent addition to the empire, but have shown success in both military and civilian endeavours. They are increasingly being used as a standard part of colonisation teams.

Elf - 5%
A few planets in Clonetopia have elven populations. Their potential usefulness is still under analysis as they are highly competent, but also rebellious. Elves look quite similar to humans, except for their pointed ears and wider range of skin tones included blue and grey.

Snakeman - 2%
As the name suggests, Snakemen are intelligent snake-like creatures. Primarily found on the oldest semi-autonomous territory, Eterset, Snakemen have proved to be highly loyal and scientifically adept.

Capramagnus - 3%
Sometimes refered to as "demons" or "goatmen" by humans due to their horned heads (though this is discouraged by the Clonetopian government), Capramagnus are primarily used in the military as special forces operatives. Due to their success on Niogoul, a planet where they are the dominant species, the empire is considering their administration potential.

Yeti - 2%
A very large and powerful species suited to cold climates. They are sometimes used for manual labour on icy planets.

Gargoyle - 1%
A mysterious, ancient species who are often mistaken for statues when inactive. Clonetopia occasionally employs them as spies and assassins.

Psionid - 1%
The telekinetic and telepathic species to which the Emperor belongs. They are the preferred choice for any significant position of authority. Almost all planetary governors are Psionids, the only exceptions being the few semi-autonomous territories.

Other - 6%
The remainder of Clonetopia's population is made up by a myriad of other species.
