Did the Trade Federation not get incorporated into the Empire though?

Its assets were nationalized at the end of the Clone Wars, I think, but they were barely an entity by then. They designed their crappy war toys looong before that.

Two fighters that completely outclassed everything those rebels could throw at them.

Hell, if you read the comics and the EU and the like, there's quite a few exceptional pilots in the Imperial Navy.

Audiences in the late 70s wanted to see their heroes destroy the bad guys.

Not really true.

The empire really did outclass the rebels in every way.

It's part of the whole monomyth cycle that is incorporated into the original trilogy, and the Buddhist philosophy.

And today I was called a hot mess. Twice. I spilled tea all over a table while speaking. With not even large hand gestures too. The other one was spilling more tea walking up the stairs and burning my hand.
