Yeah, sure. I'd quite like to understand this. I'm a very driven person. Maybe being driven is what I enjoy. I'm not sure, though. I feel like I should be pleased. Could be so many things. Right, back to training.

Perhaps what pleases you most is the hard work you employ to get the reward, not the reward itself. That's not necessarily a bad thing, if you constantly have something better to strive for.

There's always booze later. If you can drink, that is.

Nana, I've been on TET for ages. Hell, before then I was in Mama Nana's and old F7 as New Arcturas.

I find I'm the exact opposite, myself. I see no point in doing something if there's no end result. Even something like just going for a walk; I have to be going somewhere, I can't just walk for walking's sake.
To each their own, I guess. Though it's possible it's a motivation thing. It's possible he's overmotivated. Or simply just enjoys his work. I know in my case the rewards would feel much better if I enjoyed my work, and I wouldn't care about them as much.

That's very possible. As soon as I reach a goal, I'm focussed on the next one. It's like this relentless feeling that I have to keep progressing forward, and that eventually, if I keep progressing forward in these different areas in my life, I'll feel content and happy, but either I'm misunderstanding what drives me, or I've got unrealistic expectations of how I should feel once I reach a goal. Or perhaps it's because I know how much I'm capable of why I always feel like I need to reach my full potential.

It's a tricky one. I should be celebrating, but I'm already thinking ahead.

I wonder what effects people's abilities to think. Is it the actual brain itself, with all the chemicals and such, or is it how you've been taught or how you learned how to think?

Perhaps an impertinent question, but why are you driving yourself forward in the first place? To better yourself? To prove something?

Let's get Freudian, here.
