foreigners can become citizens as long as they do a job, live within the country and have no criminal record here.

Rothic Liberalism is often called "moderated Liberalism," and is regarded as common in both major parties.

On the social front, it believes moderate regulation is necessary for a civilized society. Abortion is illegal, on grounds of "just in case life begins at conception," who can really know? But just about of everything else is a "it's your business," as long as you KEEP it your business.

On the Economic side, its practically the same thing. There are regulations that prevent fraud and misleading consumers, also for putting whacky, non-necessary chemicals in it. But is still "under-regulated" by crazy Euro-standards.

That is indeed a shock compared to our Cultural and Legal Standards! We very easily (compared to most nations) extended Permanent Residence and Citizenship to those who wish it, and offer the exact same protection under our law to all Non-Citizens as we do Citizens. (With the exception of Enemies of the Union, such as the Capitalist Insurgents Klaec is still rooting out in the otherwise mostly-uninhabited North-Western Desert-Mountain Regions.)

In times of war, the nation preserves all Federation Citizens by using the national protocol Operation Bolthole. All major cities and communities have hidden access to a secret network of interconnected, underground fortresses. Every citizen is provided living quarters and an assigned job so that the emergency facilities can run indefinitely. Large amounts of the treasury are funneled to the network, allowing stockpiles of food and weapons, and complete underground infrastructures (power, factories, aircraft hangars, etc) to be maintained. Bolthole provides the armed citizenry the means to safely withdraw and have bases from which to take back invaded territory.
