If you're lucky, they'll just water board you, stick a blow torch in your ass, and then behead you afterward.

Thought it'd be interesting to show these eye-opening photo essay's. So before you call it some kind of horrifying hellhole, go to the slums of Mumbai, go to a Bangladeshi country village - go almost anywhere else in Asia, and you'll see much, much worse living conditions. Remember that you'll be seeing that in India, which has a booming industry and amiable relations with the US is telling - while the DPRK has been under economic and military siege for almost 60 years now.
Are you sure? How hard is it to kill motherfucking birds? No, really, it must be fucking hard to kill those motherfucking birds. Even in L.A, where the air quality is horrendous, the birds still live. In Pyongyang, where there's no pollution or toxic substances, the birds still fucking die. How the hell is that possible?

Perhaps I missed something, but after scrolling through the first set of pictures, I'm minded to ask at what point India and Bangladesh started putting up electrified barbed wire across their beaches to stop their people getting out.
While recognising that potential propaganda is potential propaganda no matter who produces it, the following video link may prove to be something of an antidote to the idea that DPRK is Best Korea. I understand that the young woman at the beginning of the video died of malnutrition days after filming. Barrel of laughs, I'm sure.
Those who - not unreasonably - object to YouTube as a source can go straight to the original source.

Every time I see a video of North Korea, I can't help but tell myself what a party the place's gonna be when the regime falls.

I wish. Unfortunately there is a large population of loyal followers who will not let that happen.
I actually considered visiting it. However, I do not trust myself enough. I'm afraid I will let my opinion be known and end up in a concentration camp for crimes against the state. Something like 500 Americans visit it every year.
