Depends what kind of Communist you are, surely? Anarcho-communists are a rare breed really.

First: Communism is a dream on any scale larger than a few hundred people.

Second: A Stalinist? Hardcore communists have an excuse, because it's not like the USSR was actually communist, but Stalinism? Do you LIKE the idea of political purges, gulags, and corruption? That's like liking Nazi Germany.

Er, communism has just as much application as capitalism. They are in fact applied to the exact same thing. Communism essentially refers to common ownership of the means of production, rather than privately-controlled market-based corporations and such.

In my opinion I have to say that true communism, as opposed to a centre-social government is hard to implement because what I learned in school is that natures seems to give the crave for power. Even in the people's congress, there would be a risk of a power struggle to the top.

Depends what you're aiming for. If you want a 'greater Germany' full of Aryan ubermensch and you don't mind how this is created as long as it is then you'd have no problems with Nazi Germany.
