That's not even the biggest issue. Lawsuits forcing those responsible to pay damages can pull in other defendants, such as the manufacturers of the flammable materials that started the fire, or any advertisers working with the party who are found to have not been sufficiently careful in ensuring that their money/products were being used responsibly, in an effort to collect enough money to pay for injuries and damages, but from reading up on this I don't think there were any wealthy sponsors involved. And the people who remodeled the warehouse seem to have done a good job of ignoring warnings, so that kind of absolves the manufacturer of materials of blame.
Even if the owner and operator don't get slimy lawyers, and eventually are forced to pay damages, the damages can't exceed the amount of money they have. And they don't have enough on their own.
