He doesn't get to walk. He was convicted on two charges. One conviction was overturned because the prosecution failed to prove its case. He's being held in jail until he's put on trial for that charge again.

I don't see why Holocaust denial should be illegal. It's not illegal to question the Holodomor by the Soviets, or the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek genocides by the Turks, or any other genocide that I can think of for that matter.
