It must be hentai and purple, because mayonnaise is not an instrument.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

The notorious 4chan, home of NEETs, weebs, edgy teenagers, and alt-righters is broke.
After 13 years of /b/, /a/, /v/ and only four years of /pol/, the largest imageboard on the net might be coming down.
The news broke a couple of days ago, as 4chan is having trouble attracting advertisers, due to its controversial nature. Some have theorized that more notorious boards, such as /pol/, could be taken down, instead of the entire website.
Personally, I would remove /pol/ and possibly the porn boards, as they aren't the best incentive for advertisers.
What does NSG think?
And for my fellow chantards, where do we go next? Reddit? Tumblr? NSG?

Pretty much this. 4chan has already spawned numerous spinoffs over the years from groups pitching a fit about this or that administrative decision and running off to make their OWN chan, with blackjack and hookers.

So basically, if that place closes, expect many babychans to proliferate like herpes across the internet landscape?

It will be The Chan Wars. Many sites competing against each other in bloodsport until one nacho stained victor stands atop the mound of basement dwelling neckbeards.

This is the end of the internet as we know it. I don't browse 4chan often, but if it goes down I will be disappointed, and nostalgic for the days when it was heralded as the most evil place on the surface web.

Wouldn't the evil migrate to even more dark places...like the Yahoo News Comment Section?
