4chan probably shutting down

The notorious 4chan, home of NEETs, weebs, edgy teenagers, and alt-righters is broke.

After 13 years of /b/, /a/, /v/ and only four years of /pol/, the largest imageboard on the net might be coming down.

The news broke a couple of days ago, as 4chan is having trouble attracting advertisers, due to its controversial nature. Some have theorized that more notorious boards, such as /pol/, could be taken down, instead of the entire website.

Personally, I would remove /pol/ and possibly the porn boards, as they aren't the best incentive for advertisers.

What does NSG think?

And for my fellow chantards, where do we go next? Reddit? Tumblr? NSG?

I think axeing /pol/ (Whatever that is) and the porn boards, plus putting in restrictions on images (Gore, etc.) would help steer it around.

There would be no reason to maintain it at that point. For better or for worse, the controversy is what makes the site. Without it, it has little reason to exist.

I am a radical leftist, as is United Marxist Nations, and we both regularly browse 4chan. When anons use terms such as "faggot" or other racially/sexually insensitive terms, they usually aren't directed at the subjects personality or race, rather as simply a label, like "idiot."
