Are you certain the influx is more from Reddit than Imgur? Could be...just seems hard to believe.

The Imgur post had over 200K views, 13K points, was at one point the 2nd most viral post on the site for the day, and it was directly about NS.

The Reddit thing wasn't a post directly about NS, just a comment within a post--only the 19th top comment with about 700 karma. Plus it was deleted at some point during the influx just a few hours after it was posted.

From my experience chatting with people on Discord, all I've asked so far came from Imgur.

I assume that some people were just curious as to whether NS was really a "United Nations of Dinguses". This brings to mind a law I unselfishlessly name "Reppy's Law": They always join NationStates when they hear about NationStates, even if you throw Reppy's Law out of the window.

I know. It is probably pretty clear to the NationStaters by now that Reddit and Imgur were the main two sources of traffic to the September Sign-Up Swarm. And not only that, but I've had to change my sig AGAIN! (until about six hours ago, the count still read 152,500)

Fatatatutti isn't even in the WA, yet they're currently in the 90th percentile for WA endorsements (and the same could be said of a good few thousand other nations). I think this may be a by-product of new users having signed up over the past few days and not joining the WA, but I'm not sure...

After the server outage the server hamsters were rebuilt. Better than they were before. Better. Stronger. Faster.

Forgot something when making my previous post. A player can, of course, be in the WA without having endorsements. The number of nations in the WA and the number of nations with endorsements are two separate numbers, although the second obviously can't be bigger than the first. So presumably WA nations with at least one endorsement make up less than 10% of active nations.
