Is it me or is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children just Harry Potter shoved into a blender with X-Men, blended into a soup and then a hint of Slenderman sprinkled in before being served?

They had an ad for the movie on the radio today, they said it was a (delightful) mixture of Harry Potter and X-Men. Not sure about the Slenderman bit.

Ah, October can't come soon enough. I know we're still a few days away, but today's chilly weather got me in an October-y mood.

Absolutely love autumn, especially October. I love the temperature, I love the gloomy weather, I love the autumnal trees. And, perhaps most importantly I love Halloween. House décor, haunted houses, etc. I honestly love waiting in line for haunted houses more than the actual house itself. I don't know why, it's just... a good time to think. Crisp air, "spooky" settings, lots of time... a lot to enjoy. A shame the decorations put up around the waiting area are usually scarier than the house itself. Seriously, waiting in line for haunted houses is one of those weird little things that make me feel... alive, y'know? Just one of those small, quirky things that you get excited about for no real reason.

Forgive the mini-rant. I just need to spread the October hype a bit.
For anyone wondering, I joined this website during my edgy teenage years. I made a lot of dumb, awkward posts, flip-flopped between various extreme ideologies, and just generally embarrassed myself. I agree, I am SO fucking done with summer and heat and bleah. Now if we can just keep Christmas held at bay at the Black Friday line....
