No. Morality is an integral part of religion, and if Marx outlawed religion, letting morality be would have been inconsistent. Unlike you, I take Marx's word literally, without interpreting it in any way.

Morality can very clearly have a secular base. I'm more or less a fusion of a Kantian and an existentialist, and while the former had some Christian grounding (for Kant), it needn't have.

Ideally, I would probably help set up a Leninist state. A Maoist state, eh... I would probably want to contribute as much as I could.

But realistically? Probably continue life as usual. Probably just join the local communist party, and maybe try to use it to achieve my political dreams.

Realistically, I would probably lack the means to flee during such a scenario, so, in the case of a Lenninist state, I would stay and just try to make the best of it in the hope that the country would be liberated by the Americans or Europeans. Maoism is a whole other level of terrible and, if I was unable to leave the country, I would probably just kill myself and hope to take a few of them with me.

I can think of several countries in the world who probably wouldn't mind a change in pace. More than just those four for various sociopolitical reasons.
