Someone punching you is recklessly endangering your life. You are justified in resorting to more reliable lethal force.

People should take physical force just as seriously as gun safety. Do not engage in physical force against an individual unless you are willing to destroy them. If they had been pointing guns, self defense would be justified too.

What you've posted is wrong for those reasons. The group here is under no obligation to put their lives at risk to engage in equal levels of force. They may resort immediately to force levels that will end the threat, if it lowers the chance of them being killed, permanently crippled, etc.

Fascism is inherently violent, based largely on fear, and its thrives when nonviolent liberals refuse to confront it. This is how it got a hold of Germany n the 1930s. You can deny history as you please, but don't judge other people based on your lack of historical understanding.

It is not surprising that they've started fighting back, as the police refuse to arrest and properly charge anti-fa, and the media will not report on it fairly. We've seen multiple previous incidents where members of these far-right groups end up beaten and bloodied, ones which were high profile for those paying close attention to far-right politics.

Actually, it's the other way around. The Nazis in 1930's got hold of power specifically because socialists and communists were attacking people in the streets, assaulting business owners, etc. who they viewed as responsible for the exploitation of the worker. The violent people bringing chaos were the left. The Nazis were reactionaries whose rise to power was largely because they responded to the violence of the left with ultra-violence.

It is hard to know what force to use when you are defending yourself to be honest. Reasonable force is of course subject, if the antifa didn't want this they shouldn't of started the fight.
