I created my first nation in 2007 or 2008, I forget. I remember what it was called, but I can't recover it anyway.

I honestly don't think I knew Endo was a real prefix back then and just made it up because it sounded cool.

No idea why I initially had the "sitar" element though -- nowadays I've justified it as a formation based on one of the cities in the area, which began life as Caesaria Aelia -- Caesaria goes to Cesaria goes to Citaria goes to Sitaria, and then the country gets called Malt-Sitaria (the other side is Maltivia), or "Malsitar".

My first nation was Bunny something. Like Bunnylandia. My second, creatively enough, had my first name as its name.

Let me take you back to summer 2006. There was I, 16 year old scene kid Galla with the turquoise hair and more bangles than arm lounging about in a cyber cafe with the boy she had run away to Galway with. A friend was playing this thing called "Nationstates". 2006 Galla was intrigued. She put a euro into the computer slot, created a nation which to this very day the name eludes her.

She answered an issue, got bored and forgot about the site until she stumbled upon a link on MySpace three years later. Such fun.

My story is quainter. My brother found out about Naitonstates from his friend. He brought home his school computer, our only electronic device not used by our parents in 2012, and played it obsessively. Eventually, he helped 11 year old me create a nation, which I logged onto maybe once a month - before anyone asks, I didn't make a single post on the forums. After a few months I forgot about Bunny nation. Then a year or two later my brother and I recreated a nation and played for another period of time. I distinctly remembering having a flag that said "perfection is imaginary, unicorns are real." Only I let my brother handle all my issues because I knew zero about them. Then I forgot about it again.

Finally last year during a particularly boring winter break I remembered this website and had the urge to revisit it. I expected to only stay for a short amount of time again, but I stayed, and I'm I'm not sorry.
