Burnham, on the understanding he drifts slightly leftward of how he ran his leadership campaign. I think that would be acceptable.

He was the fallback candidate for Corbyn supporters, has been loyal to Corbyn until now, etc. He lacks the stain of being a Blairite in revolt.

He's a snake who was so scared of Manchester Momentum in his run for Mayor he decided to support Corbyn. Heck no. It has to be a Leader that unifies the party. And Burnham is not that man.

Did I mention he's running as far as he can from Westminster to become Mayor of Manchester?

You need to get up to a bunch of sensationalist bullshit. I suspect that's one reason for the massive levels of polarization we've seen, because if you announce a 4% tax cut and your opponent announces 5, he's getting all the headlines.

Holy crap! That is insane. I raised the prospect a couple of days ago it could be like Scotland all over again but I never thought something like this was a possibility.

This coup is really all or nothing. I don't think I've ever seen grassroots moderates so organised right now, we're literally fighting for our existence.

I will say whoever came up with the leadership procedure and £3 membership class needs a kick up the arse along with the we must put up a left wing mps for the debate. That is the route of all this trouble.
