But the Democratic County Convention up here was very anti establishment because it was majorly Sanders supporters over Clinton supporters, which was pretty weird to see how anti democratic party it was at a democratic party (They booed the idea of re-electing our governor, for example).

I actually think my stance will depend on who does the best (Jill Stein or Gary Johnson. Stein is polling at only like 2%, but that may go up later, so). I'm pretty much turning in to a "Vote for whichever candidate I think has the best chance at breaking the 2 party system" vote. I actually voted for Johnson last time. He may not be entirely preferable for my tastes (I am a Sanders supporter, after all), but as my dad put it, "I'd prefer to vote for the lesser of two goods than the lesser of two evils"

I dunno. I feel like the Green Party may lose out in some of the limelight this year. How many of the Bernie bros are aware of Stein?

Regardless if the Green Party can join us, the more the merrier I say. We ain't trying to win, we are trying to blow this popsickle stand up. And that popsickle stand is the two party state.

The "BernieOrBust" pledge said to write-in Bernie or vote for Stein. They are definitely aware of her.

Also, I'm still in the process of pushing Johnson towards my grandpa, because even he is stuck now, because even he, who has kind of gone off the deep end with Fox News brainwashing, can't stand Trump (Though he was a Cruz supporter  ), and my grandma really can't stand him because he fits into everything she hates about politics.

I'm guessing your grandpa is pretty conservative socially? I can see Gary having a hard time with the more staunch social conservatives.

Yeah, if you're anti-drug and/or anti-gay, Johnson is probably never going to be your first choice.

Yeah, pretty much. The drug thing is what's keeping my family away from supporting him. That, and their stance on military spending.

That sounds like Alaska. Marijuana + lenient gun control and you can live out in the middle of nowhere so homophobes can't bother anyone.

At the Federal level anyone who will reduce government should be acceptable to a social conservative--getting back to the limited government. There is no mandated Federal Marriage Registry Database (yet), and every person is free to live in a state that has its own position (some even lets its counties decide) what is smokable and drinkable. Johnson is a proven fiscal conservative, and he will try to go back to us being a federal government instead of a national central government that pretends it is federal. That may be a selling point, if saving us from debtsaster is important to him.

My grandpa calls himself a Libertarian, and he supports marijuana legalization (He uses it himself) and his favorite daughter was married to a girl, so I'm pretty sure he isn't anti-gay marriage either. Why he supported Cruz, I have no freaking clue.

Not to mention that he's Pro-Choice, a big no-no for social conservatives. Then again, they're willing to support a man that has flip flop many times on that one issue so...

My parents have no intention since they feel it would be a "wasted vote" and allow Hillary to win. My mom supports him more than my dad. My grandparents watched the Libertarian Debate last night and got the impression that these people minus Johnson aren't serious and are wacky (thanks fellow Libertarians). So, it looks like I am the sole one that will be voting for Johnson.

That's what I been trying to do. This election cycle has been nothing but out of the ordinary. It is not a normal election cycle. I have a few friends that I will try to push on as well though it seems their "libertarian" credentials are coming into question since they support Trump. Eh, god damn it, this is going to be tough.

I wouldn't bother trying to frame it as a property rights issue.

I feel like individuals should own the air above their property just as much as the dirt below it.

I do to, but we shouldn't tax it.

What alternative protections for individuals personal property are you suggesting?

Guns, mines, stern warnings, tanks, booby traps.
