Oldest Nation on Nation States?

So, I've been seeing a lot really old nations like the The Provisional Government of Northrop-Grumman who was founded in 2003, but the question is, who's the oldest nation on Nation States? And how old exactly is this website?

From my understanding, and from data on NSEconomy, Kyupaa is the nation with the highest population, which means they most likely founded first. They have a population of 29.053 billion.

Population isn't a 100% indicator of age, actually. After you've been around a bit, your population increases randomly between like 5-7mil a day, not a set rate. So it's possible for a nation founded a few days later than another to end up with a slightly higher population than the older one. Additionally, nations that have timed out and later been resurrected don't get population for the time they were inactive. A 2003 nation that CTEd for a couple of years and later came back would have a much smaller population than a 2003 nation from the same time that was active the entire time. (For example, my nation turns 13 at the end of March this year, and I've got north of 28 billion population... my nation has been active the entire time.)

There was also the pop-bug which throws it off. I asked Kyupaa a while ago when he founded and (I think) he said Jan 2003. We've still got 2002 nations around, so he isn't the oldest.
