According to the BBC, it's because they teach secularism.

Quick, let's all be terrified of this crime we know almost nothing about.

I honestly doubt this actually is related to ISIL

How would the BBC know the motivations of a person still at large?

Its a public school in a predominately Muslim neighborhood that has a very heavy focus on Laïcité.

They're basing this on the fact that the IS has called its followers to kill teachers in France, describing them as enemies of Allah for teaching secularism.

Yes, because someone who attempts to murder someone while saying it is for the Islamic State obviously has nothing to do with the Islamic State.

Nothing screams ISIL like the attacker hiding their face.

Bloody hell. Poor teacher.

It's still the IS to be blamed for the marginalization of the Muslims in France, though. Because that precisely is their goal - they don't want the Muslim population to be happy, prosperous and widely accepted, since then it would be flipping hard to make them come and fight to death for some batshit crazy ideas in the Middle of Nothing. These attackers are provocateurs, aiming for mutual alienation of the European population. And the ever-growing nationalism among the whites isn't helping the natives either. Pray for it not to reach an open war status.

To stab a single, kinderkarten teacher? I've seen something like this in Mali, someone shot someone and claimed he was with terrorists to throw everyone off the trail

So the BBC doesn't know why this kindergarten teacher was attacked.

Are you familiar with the concept of lying? Or is it that you expect someone who'd stab another person to be above that kind of thing?

Imagine if there was one concealed carry citizen present, the person who brought a knife to a gun fight would get put down or apprehended.

Which is why there has never been a mass shooting in the states, because clearly concealed carry solves that problem.

Or you know, if the terrorist had a conceal carry, they'd have shot a dozen. If weapons were that available, I doubt they would have been the ones to bring a knife.

KKK and IRA are examples of Christian terrorists.

I don't know all the details, but maybe it was in a crowd. Would've been to hard to get a clean shot any way

No, the events are currently unfolding. Then again, their speculation is far from being baseless and automatically dismissing it simply because "we don't know what happened yet" is kind of stupid.

I'm just saying this reeks of personal vendetta
