Russian airstrikes displace Turkmen in Syria

Syria’s Bayir Bucak area has witnessed mass displacement of Turkmen who fled their homes Saturday following attacks by Syrian and Russian forces, local sources told Anadolu Agency.
The sources said the Turkmen fled to safer villages near the Turkish border.
Muhammed Komurcu, a Syrian Turkmen Association official, said the number of internally displaced people has doubled.
Turkey has summoned Russia’s ambassador to Ankara over the recent bombing of Turkmen villages in Syria, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Friday.
Turkmen are a Turkic ethnic group based largely in Syria and Iraq, where they live alongside large Arab and Kurdish populations. The Turkmen community, which includes both Sunni and Shia Muslims, shares close cultural ties with the Turkish people.
Syria’s devastating civil war, now in its fifth year, has left at least 250,000 people dead, according to the UN.

When it comes to Kurds, western world give them money and weapon.. Because they need puppets to make people kill each other and secure an area that may provide oil for their companies. But Syrian Turkmen Brigades only gets help from Turkey.

Well to start, I have to say that you're wildly misinformed. The opening post comes across as reminding me of some of these crazy leftists who believe that ISIS stands for "Israeli Secret Intelligence Service" which is supposedly why they don't attack Israel. That ISIS is some Zionist conspiracy to tar and defame the Muslim world when this couldn't be further from the mark.

The truth is- Islam has its own fundamentalist branches which are as bad as it gets. Certain forms of Islam do not need any help to look bad, just read certain violent verses from the Qur'an and supporting Hadiths and that is all the justification Jihadists are free to use to spread strict Sharia law by the sword.

The US has nothing to do with ISIS. It used to be Al Qaida in Iraq (AQI) back in 2006 but later formally split from Al Qaeda when they surpassed the latter in sheer brutality and zeal. But for all the slaughter ISIS brings, it is effective for them. It has thus far prevented a repeat of the "Sunni Awakening" that removed AQI from Iraq in 2007 onwards until 2009. People fear ISIS enough to want to be on their side, and Sunnis join them because ISIS is still seen as being better than being under a Shia government that demeans them.

So far as the Kurds are concerned, the US and most other countries have provided almost no direct help to the Peshmerga asides from airstrikes. Even though the US should, Obama refuses to do so. Instead all equipment is sent to Iraq's central government in Baghdad which is Shia led and the Kurds only get a tiny fraction of arms the Shia decide to send their way if they're feeling generous. Other than that, the Kurds are on their own to struggle to defend their turf or make advances.

American conservatives have begged for Obama to manage the war against ISIS more competently but he is both unable and unwilling, the current administration in power in the US is that incompetent. And sad to say, an opportunity is really lost to have ISIS beaten back quicker and contained more. Much less to have a better chance of accomplishing victory. Many wish the US could help the Kurds but right now we can't unless someone like Trump were to be elected. Trump wouldn't be dead set on deposing Assad either.

You have to remember that Obama is just a community organizer first and foremost- he just reads great speeches from a teleprompter but doesn't actually mean any of it. He is in campaign mode even after having won two elections into office. Obama bragged about the "JV team" [ISIS] as having "been contained" right before the Paris terrorist attacks. So it is getting really dangerous having Obama as president. The American right last year, could scarcely imagine how Obama's policies could get worse but lo and behold, it did! There is still more than 1 year left of Obama, and no prospects at all of having him replaced before 2017, even though the US desperately needs this to happen.

Now about the Great Middle East Project, that map is just a proposal from a think tank, it doesn't mean that any of it is officially sanctioned by the US government or that some or all of it will come to pass. Maybe none of it will, which is most probable. I don't foresee a circumstance where Iran, Turkey, Jordan, or Saudi Arabia (all stable countries in their own right) will ever wind up needing to cede territory.

So no, almost none of what you mention is some conspiracy. It really is simply due to bad leadership and circumstances at the wrong time.

Why are you blaming the "west" for Putin and Assad's crimes?

Seriously if a person A attacks me, I should not ignore A and attack B.

This blame the West shit is getting ridiculous. Sure the West does bad stuff, but at least blame the West for what they do and not the crimes of others.

Umm Assad is the one terrorizing Turkmen here. So why are you defending him?
Assad fan boys. "Assad is killing my people. Why you stop Assad from killing my people?" :palm:

Who is your President? And currently America has few "puppets". We are actually pretty weak.

Sorry to hear about your situation. The Russians have an agenda in the region sadly and Al-Assad is their puppet. As for the Western world, our governments and public are so useless that we couldn't even support rebel groups. Syria is just fucked; sorry to say, but the chance for a rebel victory evaporated after 2012. History will not remember anyone during this bloody period well if you ask me.

All the best to the Turkmen people in Syria. You'll be in my prayers.

If everyone involved was an American puppet, we'd secure the oil by having them NOT fight against each other.

And if ISIS was an American puppet, fighting against them would just be silly.

And to what purpose is Turkey helping these "Turkmen Brigades" (by the way, preparing an invasion of Syria, as media report), alongside other so-called "rebels" whose weapons curiously often end up in the hands of the various ISIS/Al Qaida groups?

Becasue Turkey needs puppets, too.

Westerns do not care about who died anywhere in the world as long as terrorists are not in Paris.

ISIS is an American puppet, Kurds are American puppets, everything going on is American..

Yes, France, Iran and Russia are notorious American puppets. Uh uh. Turkey, on the other hand, isn't a full member of NATO. Also, calling Kurds American puppets after the US-friendly Saddam gassed them and while the US-friendly Turkey is persecuting them? Seriously.

You can't fight against Isıs?

Iran, France and Russia seem quite able to fight the IS. And also anyone who is helping them.

1/10, try harder.
