As I understood, if you want/wanted to do by the book, you'd have to set up at least some sort of foundation around your project. And send "thank you" card to every backer.

She just had to submit a document detailing what they were allowed to do with her, what they definitely couldn't do with her, and a general summary of how she wanted things to go.
