I'm pissed the Minnesota is ranked below Michigan. Minnesota had a very good season last year considering (and crushed Michigan 30-14) the talent they were playing. I personally would like to see minnesota ranked more in the #23 - #30 ranks.

Minnesota outperforms its talent, I would say; Jerry Kill is an underrated coach. As it stands currently, however, Michigan has more talent overall as a team and now the coaching to match.

As far as the AP Poll is concerned, though, I at least gave the Gophers their due, a la Phil Steele's postseason ranking predictions.

Auburn needs to win it again. I'd enjoy the idea of Auburn playing in the SEC Championship while Nick Saban (Nothing against Saban.) watches from the TV @ home.

Why watch it from home when he can watch it in his 2015 Mercedes GT Edition 1? :P

A bombshell, at least for one team.

Bill Cubit was acceptable as a coach at WMU. Beckman should have been fired sooner than a week prior to the beginning of the season.

People can laugh at UCLA's new unis all they want to, Louisville now has one of the worst uniform sets in nation. No wonder Tennessee moved away from Adidas; this is just shit. That "demonic cardinal" logo belongs on an airbrushed t-shirt, not a fucking football helmet.

That was a hell of a final drive. Bravo to the Griz.

31-yard pass on 4th down. Scoring with two seconds to go, on fourth-down, at NDSU's 1.

It would probably be at the end of year, same with Marshall. (The Herd has the #128 ranked sked... and, at least on my personal poll, will most likely stay exactly at #32 until the very end of the year.) Assuming the Eagles win all of their other games and at least beat App State, it's then an outside possibility - winning ten would be key, as they face a #118th-ranked schedule, they'll lose to Georgia, and they'll probably* lose to West Virginia on opening week.

(*=I really wouldn't be too shocked if GS beats WVU.)

North Carolina vs. South Carolina in the first game of the year. Who ya got?

I think South Carolina pulls it out here, despite what should be a clunky or at least mediocre offense (even with Pharaoh Cooper). North Carolina can score on anybody, but I don't think their D is good enough to hold off the Gamecocks, let alone some other ACC opponents. South Carolina's defense will be revamped and improved this year.

I'll still be rooting for the Tar Heels - it's their last season before major program penalties and, as always, fuck Steve Spurrier.

Bold prediction for the year - Kansas will go winless. They're the absolute worst team in the power conferences.

I agree with pretty much everything stated above, but more than pulling it out, I think the 'Cocks pound the tar outta the 'Heels.

Some shootout, lol. I have zero idea why people said it was going to be a wide-open game.

Also, heard the announcers actually say it was a struggle of two "elite defenses"... South Carolina ranked 94th in defense last year, North Carolina ranked 114th. Fuck off, ESPN.

I guess hiring a man who went 14-0 once at an SEC school as your DC = elite defense.

Chizik was the head coach in 2010. The defense was ranked 53rd and that entire championship run is solely the property of Cam Newton and Guz Malzahn. Chizik is a terrible coach.

omg jake rudock... sucks

How the fuck did Michigan just score? Rudock got bailed out on that pass by the tight end despite throwing into triple coverage. That's on top of the three terrible missed passes on that drive alone. If not for the personal foul penalty, it was probably Utes' ballgame.

Not a bad night for the Pac-12 (except you, Colorado...yer on the bubble!). Granted, not many of these opening games are barnburners - more like softball pitches, for the most part. Still, not too shabby.

TCU-Minnesota was a solid game, but I can't help but feel Minnesota gave that game away. Minnesota consistently pressured Boykin and forced errant throws, forced a duck that was an INT, and even came away with a clutch fumble. It's defense really did, in most ways, shut down TCU. Outside of a gift-wrapped TD from a fumble on the Minnesota 15 yard line, TCU scored ONE TD on the night. I think if Minnesota avoids either that fumble or the fumble on the goal line, they either win or are in a better chance to win.

Minnesota's defense impressed, and I think they should have won, but I still think TCU is the better team. I'm excited for the Gopher's defense, but just so upset that we can't find a legitimate QB to run this offense. We would be SO good. We would be potential B1G contenders instead of just B1G West.

Jeremy Johnson: 11-20, 140 yds, 1 TD, and 3 INTs. And Auburn fans say this guy is the next Cam Newton? I mean, 140 yards is great for your first collegiate start. But 3 INTs? And two were picked-off by Josh Harvey-Clemons. How ironic.

Coker's performance. Just...holy shit. I didn't think he'd be that good. Bateman too. That means we'll start seeing signs on Gameday that say "MASTER BATEMAN".

Henry and Drake, great duo. Good to see Kenyan back on the field after his injury last year. Henry is a beast, as always.
