The problem was not America, it was the starting location of hitch bot.

The North East and the eastern portion of the mid west have large swaths of bad neighborhoods since the decline of that region's manufacturing industry.

Not to say the whole region is bad there are some good areas if you work in the right fields like finance and law just it would be impossible to plan a route from the North East to the west coast that avoided the bad areas.

Elfreth's Alley is touristy, with cobblestones and an historical museum. Definitely a place a human tourist would visit, so it's in the spirit of the game for Wellens to drop the bot there.

Taken in aggregate, however, I'm seeing a clear attempt to get people riled up with the "Why are you making a big deal out of it?" type comments. Then I also see a dedicated threadjack attempt with the bit about cars, then the bit trying to derail into Another Abortion Argument, a dash of trolling with the "Ameriphobes" crack... and then topped off with bragging how you got a thread locked. Well, you're not getting a thread locked this time, but you can take another ban for your efforts.
