I'm going to try to stay as clean as possible here, but this is about the legality of sexual activities, so I can only go so far.
The proper legal age has been questioned by many, and I bring to question whether it should be raised, lowered, or kept the same. I'm going off the usual age in the US, which is 18. I personally believe that the age is right where it should be for anything that can lead to pregnancy, but I think that it should be lowered to around 14 or 15 for any other sexual activity.
Even with the age set where it is, most underage teens experiment and break that law anyway. Some may argue that lowering the age will only lead people to try things at even younger ages, which brings back the same problem. That's why I suggest that it be kept higher for anything directly responsible for pregnancy. However, I find it a valuable way to express love, so I believe anything else should be fine.
However, since most experiment two years or so below the legal age, raising it should lead people to do so at an older, safer, more responsible age. That's one argument, which I don't really support, but it's there.
So what say you, NSG? How old does our youth have to be to make decisions like this?
This thread is also open to general discussion about the morality and principle of sexual activity as a whole.
