Much of reddit couldn't care less about srs or fph. But there were many, many people who did.

Ellen Pao single handedly removed two very infamous (albeit popular) subreddits with no warning. Most redditors feel threatened, because her history is full of occasions in which she removed anybody that was an obstacle to her agenda. She continues to employ these strong arm tactics, and in general couldn't care less about the community. She wants to make reddit a 'safe space.' I'm telling you, pcmr and fps are next!

Well, in the case of holocaust denial, it's been shown to dilute the efficacy of fact-based reasoning. Elevating nonsense, pseudoscience, and that which is essentially politically motivated trolling to the position of "the other side of debate" shifts the discourse that much closer to becoming bullshit.

We're also a fraction of Reddit's size and activity, and not armed with the sort of tools that would allow us to quickly or easily go all Madagascar on the site and Shut. Down. EVERYTHING!

I mean, I could potentially seriously fuck up the forums, but I damn well know better. (Besides, Max knows where I live! ) Also helps that [v] is in pretty constant contact with the mod team, so I don't see a situation with such a massive disconnect arising here.
