I wouldn't predict anything just yet. We haven't hit the big two (Ontario and Quebec). Maritimes generally tend to lean to the Liberals. Though the Cons seem to be on the verge of a virtual wipe out in them.

Maybe NDP will win. Who knows?

Agreed. I don't have a single kind word to say about Chris Alexander. If the Liberals win there then the Conservatives will be in trouble in Ontario.

I hope so. So far it isn't looking good for NDP, but it's only Atlantic Canada, so it's not necessarily a good indicator.

I don't really care if Liberal or NDP or even Green Party wins, I just don't want to see Harper again.

Knock it off. Everyone on this forum can access the CBC poll trackers. We don't need you posting projected outcomes here, for chrissake. It's annoying as all get out.

Seriously people, calm down and wait for a poll to be called, if you absolutely must post updates here.

If the polls from yesterday are anything to go by, most likely not. It would be an astounding upset and everyone would wonder what the hell happened.

Not looking good for the Cons in Atlantic Canada. Might even be a Liberal Majority.

Dude, sure they're different in ways, but all this talk of "change" is bull, the only thing that is of any significance that I can see is Green promise of paying for secondary education and Liberal promise of instituting some kind of proportional representation, at least that's what I think.

My riding is a close race though.

Translation: I did not keep up with the election.

Trudeau is promising to go into deficit spending to boost the economy, which already makes him significantly different than Harper and Mulcair.

Jesus, yes I know that, he's going into a deficit and spending money to reach the same objective as the rest of the parties, method is different, objective is the same.

Yes that makes them different, but in the overall sense of things, we're looking at the same Liberal and Conservative back and forth we've been seeing since god knows how long ago.

You can do the next update when the polls close in Quebec and Ontario.

I guess Trudeau's hostility to civil rights isn't harming him.

I guess people just want another Trudeau.

Yes that makes them different, but in the overall sense of things, we're looking at the same Liberal and Conservative back and forth we've been seeing since god knows how long ago.

Every political party wants to make the country better. In economic terms, that means a stronger economy, more job creation, higher wages, lower unemployment. Neither the Liberals, Conservatives, or NDP, want to nationalize our industries ad hoc, nor do any kind of communist "hands of the workers" things, so literally the only possible differences between them on that count will be how they achieve those aforementioned goals.

If you're looking for truly differing goals, in terms of outcome rather than process, then you should look at what kinds of policies and positions they have on social programs, civil rights, taxes, etc.
