Thoughts on Death.

I have no qualms with death, being the state of non-existence, but the pain/experience of dying keeps me from doing reckless things.

It's also one of the reasons why, when I'm experiencing a particularly low point of depression, I sometimes contemplate suicide, but never go so far to actually attempt it.

I am afraid of death in the sense that I want to live, but I don't find comfort in an afterlife.

Does anyone else have this attitude? Like, not sure what afterlife is, if it will be good bad or oblivion, but isn't afraid?

When we die, unless we go to hell, were supposed to go to heaven. Where were supposed to never get sick, never hurt others feelings, never hurt others physically, were we dont have to work, dont have to pay bills, so what the heck are we doing on this side?

My thoughts on death? Well, I will gladly accept death at any time. Seriously, I will actually be happy when death comes my way. I'll take the hand of the Reaper, and walk with him, even if it's tomorrow. You can't fight death forever, so any day the Reaper comes for me, I'll go with him. Sounds depressive, and makes me seem suicidal (which I am..But, that's off topic). People shouldn't fear death, it's a part of life and you can't escape it when your time is up. Your life, has a timer, and when that timer gets to 0, it's time to leave the realm of the living. Where do you go when you die? I really don't know. Heaven? Hell? I don't believe in that. I believe in the spirit realm though, which isn't bad nor good, it's neutral. I will walk with death any day now, and I won't complain.

Death itself isn't that scary to me (I don't like the thought of horrific pain though), but the idea of non-existence makes life seem meaningless to me. Everything we do will be gone, and our experiences and memories will be wiped away. We currently living will work, birth till we're so old that we cannot even really run or for some even move anymore. We will most likely not see alien life within our lifetime, the mysteries of the universe and whatnot will most likely not be answered within our lifetime if ever.

And while that happens, we're stuck on this shitty little rock. Life sucks.

I don't want to be lonely. The little I know of death (and I have conducted many funerals) leads me to believe that the one certain fact is that death is lonely. Nobody else can go through that with you. They may want to "be there for you", but they can't, and they never will again.
