Meh, not knowing about a supposed holiday that isn't celebrated around my neck of the woods doesn't bother me all that much.

It's just the first day of a month, those happen twelve times a year. No reason to glorify one of them.

That is the definition of boring. I am not dedicating my time to watching a five day long sporting event unless there is a 100% guarantee that there will be a clear winner, and not some lousy draw.
