Sure, a few people could probably get along just fine by working things out as a group. But to have order in a larger group you need to define some some of hierarchy. And then it's not anarchy anymore, it's feudalism.

That's what I don't get about anarchy - it's a pipe dream. Just like communism, it sounds great in theory, but it will only work until someone decides that might-is-right and that he wants more than everyone else. And give the lamentable tendency of humanity, should all governments disappear right at this moment, it would probably take all of two seconds before the first feudal society had formed, be it a gang ruled by fear or a village ruled by the oldest and wisest men.
