Hello NSG,
So, if you haven't heard yet, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner give an interview about the new Avengers movie, and at one point they refer to Scarlett Johansson's character, Black Widow, as a slut. Some people feel that slut shouldn't be used to describe anyone, as it is seen as a gendered insult and insinuates that being promiscuous is inherently wrong. Others see it as a harmless joke about a fictional character, and the outrage around it is another indication of SJWs being offended at everything. I tend to agree with the former opinion; even though Black Widow is not a real person, she is still a female figure and using a gendered insult such as slut is not cool.
Thoughts?
