I've been to Texas. For 2 hours.

The people were complete assholes, but that may just be a momentarily thing.

Politics, hunting ranches, guns, and the conservatism has earned itself a spot on the list of NV.

Never visits.

You must've been in the metroplex also I understand why you put it on your never visit list. But I ask you to reconsider that Texas is as diverse as America it's self. Plus I have the hutch you've haven't been to the heart of Texas. ;-)

I've never hunted in Texas before but I doubt the whole eat what you kill mentality is as prevalent down there.

It's still a turn off for me, but that's just me.

That's usually why it's one of the reasons I'll never visit Texas again, usually because of their liking for canned trophy.

Well it isn't for everyone thats a given. But yeah I've been to Texas a few times and the people aren't that bad but the culture just seems to be a giant biggest dick contest. I'm sure places like Austin and San Antonio arent all that bad but I've still got some issues with just the states culture is all. Honestly has nothing woth conservatism however Alaska's a pretty red state on its own and I live in Kansas which is way more red than ether Texas or Alaska to be honest it's more that the cultures more relaxed and about having a good time.

Well Texas has been a state for 170 years while Alaska has only been a state for 56 years so that's really just a numbers games plus I don't see how having more presidents qualifies the state as better in any sort of way if we use that logic Ohio and Virginia would be the best states in the Union...

Alaska doesn't have any good weather. The way they vote in presidential elections means nothing.

I can't remember the exact wording but this is close:

New York is Americas oozing, disease ridden sphincter. It is an over-taxed, over-regulated, frozen, liberal hell-hole of a state.

Illinois-- originally the heartland, but now I'm in the commercial midpoint between the Chicago and Milwaukee suburbs.

Looking to get out within the next year or so-- right now my eyes are set on Salt Lake City, Boise, Anchorage, or Manchester (NH), but ultimately I'll head wherever the jobs are.
I'm obligated to point out that I've been dicking around here under a medley of monikers since mid-2013, since longevity
and post counts are the two primary factors considered when assessing the worth and validity of any given poster's opinion.

Click this link to a context-blind, four-paragraph post I wrote in a random NSG thread in the summer of 2011
that indisputably validates my belief that I am one of the brightest minds in this community.

The 10+ feet of snow and the rude people are only in certain parts of the state. The whole state gets snow, but Buffalo gets a lot more than NYC.

Some people have different definitions of "rude."

I keep meeting people that talk about Massachusetts as if all the locals were spitting on them every time they walked down the street, and I really don't know what anyone is doing that out-of-state people find so offensive. I would ask, "What are we doing that is so 'rude'?" but the people who complain pretty much always guess that I didn't grow up here. They'll say they can tell because I am not "rude" like the people that grew up in Massachusetts, and I really have no fucking clue what they are talking about.
