As with most animal rights groups, I dislike them. PETA is by far the most despicable though, and has next to no redeeming qualities.

Not that I'm opposed to a certain degree of animal rights/welfare, but I'm largely satisfied with what we have currently in Canada.

Down with both.

Plus the organization won't do anything stupid.

I'm not sure why you think vegetarians would enjoy an organization that's all about eating meat. Also, you don't need a group to support eating meat. If you live in the US (and probably a long list of other countries), you already live in a country that heavily subsidizes the livestock industry.

I'm saying we need a organization that unites vegetarians and us meat eaters.

I say we call it the ERA- Everyone's Rights Association. No matter your race, creed, what you eat, where you're from, what you look like, et cetera, we don't give a shit! We're all human and we should get along!

I think their heart is in the right place, but they're kind of idiots. The whole 'Pokemon is inhumane' and 'cooking mama is cruel to animals!' can get so obnoxious. Seriously, who thinks Mario supports animal cruelty? (Except for turtles. Screw turtles.)

I think animals should be treated well, but I don't value them over humans.
PETA kills animals, for pretty much no reason. I don't think domesticated animals should be taken out into the wild by themselves. That would just get many animals killed.
Plus, that whole Nintendo and Meat Boy thing.

YES! A organization that aims to have humans get along! To try and bring down barriers! To bring and make people not fight.

Except yertle the turtle, he's awesome. I had a turtle named Yertle. I got him when I was 6, then he died when I 12. :(

But ALF...
Ohhh ALF.
They see themselves as saviors, but what they do is...
They remove animals from anything that uses animals.
Farms?
Oh, people don't need that!
Shelters?
Pff, I'm sure 45 dogs isn't THAT much to kidnap.
I'm pretty sure they also kidnap animals that are being treated well by its owner.

I'm convinced their aliens.
HAHAHAHAHA

They're proto-environmentalists who are anti-science, support terrorists and terrorism, have ridiculously stupid opinions and protests in the name of 'being seen', and actively detract from the cause of humane treatment of animals by bringing their particular asshattery into the common vision as the demonstrative example of such ideas.

Seriously, they made a Minecraft server for over protective parents who don't want their children killing animals.

Well then there's the fact that some 96% (a bit more than half /sarcasm) is killed because they can't/ don't care about finding homes. PETA's a bunch of hypocrites that kill more animals than Bush killed brain cells.

ALF has a strict policy of refusing to use violence. Anyone who actually harms others during their raids is prohibited from identifying with the group.

I'm against PETA, but that's just WRONG.

I'm not entirely sure what the animals in the middle are, but the ones on the bottom are jackrabbits. Jackrabbits are vermin and tend to ruin farmers crops if there's too many of them. Hunting them is more or less a public service in rural areas. Much like gophers and prairie dogs up here.

Anyway, assuming this is the case, it was likely a routine varmint cull and they decided to make that message afterwards.

If they want me to not eat meat so bad, buy my fucking tofu, seitan, seeds, sprouts, nuts, algae, thousands of seasonings, vegetables, whole cereals and all else, or shut the fuck up.

Veganism as a middle class cause deserves to be silenced as morally incompetent bullshit.

Wisconsin9 wrote:We'd probably be better off just not raising cows at all. Livestock are environmentally catastrophic, and there are other sources of calcium.

Milk and dairy is a terrible source of calcium.

Only 30% or so of its calcium is biologically available, furthermore calcium needs to be consumed with many other nutrients in order to end up in our bones and teeth, otherwise it's just excreted or accumulates in inappropriate parts of the body, becoming a health issue (see kidney stones).

Countries with high consumption of milk and dairy tend to have a higher occurrence of osteoporosis and bone fractures than the ones with low consumption of it.

If you want calcium, eat cruciferous vegetables, cucurbitaceae vegetables' seeds and tofu.

Seems impossible.
Very impossible.
In fact, I really doubt that would ever happen within humanity's time on earth.
