Why? Are you going to reduce your meat consumption therefore reducing your contribution to the environmental destruction brought on by the meat industry? 'Cause there's already Meatless Mondays for that. Are you going to propose to end government subsidies to the livestock industry so my tax money isn't going toward something that I largely disagree with? Are you going to raise awareness among restaurants about the benefits of offering vegetarian meals on all menus? Are you going to start campaigning for airlines to stop fucking up special meals on international flights? Are you going to propose that people stop acting like "for every animal you don't eat, I'll eat five" is witty and insightful?
What exactly are vegetarians supposed to gain out of an organization that unites us with meat eaters?
