Stop being ableist and hateful of people's body types. Beauty is a very subjective thing and we shouldn't really use that as reason to rescrict people's clothing. Terrible idea.

Great idea. Stop pushing the idea that a landwhale is the equal of a normal person. It is because beauty is subjective that we use democratically determined community standards. If the fatties want to let it hang out they can go form their own community. But the rest of us certainly can't be expected to put up with them.

I don't especially want you imagining me in yoga pants, so it's nice to know that we're on the same page.

There's a thread on the guy who suggested that. However, I can see the potential need for a "Goddamn Stupid Things Republican Representatives Say And Do" megathread, since one or more of these seem to pop up every day.

We'd hit 500 pages a day, and have to start a new one. Perhaps it's best to keep things as they are.

The bill is still languishing in the House Judiciary committee after 2 weeks.

Rep. Moore's bill to abolish the death penalty meanwhile, passed Judiciary and was brought to a vote in the House in monday.

50 votes for, 50 votes against, NOT PASSED, "Probably dead"

Damn. One vote!

Well? The lawmaker has an argument.....sort of.....I am trying out yoga at work. Some days the room is full. Maybe I am pig; maybe the universe is rewarding me as on these days I manage to end up behind a woman with a shapely behind.

It's damn distracting.

He's certainly one, but he's more eye-rolling embarrassing than actively awful. He's the overly jovial uncle who occasionally says or does something inappropriate, not the one who complains about the third-generation immigrant family stealing jobs from "real" Americans, or the one who makes horribly sexist jokes and complains about "bitches" having no sense of humor when a woman calls him out on it.
