Too many important internet things happen based off EST for me to not see that as the one time zone to rule them all. Also, I'm there.

Meanwhile, on the Continent, it is 18:44. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it should be.

I question it at least twice a day. I'm very much into the superfluous, or not, depending on how important gravity is. Which should be very important. Often, when I was a little girl, I had dreams that I could fly at will, because I could turn gravity around me off and on. Good dreams.

In Bavaria they got those huge steiner-shaped beerglasses which can hold a liter of beer. They call that wondrous contraption the Maß. That's more than two pints of lager!

Sounds fun. That "I question it at least twice a day" part I could have sworn I've heard or read before, but Google is not yielding me its secrets. Am I just delusional and remembering incorrectly?

Then have one of those, if your bladder allows it.

I can't even finish a pint, I'm sure I won't be able to finish that bounty of Teutonic beer.

Maybe your head is a bit fuzzy after having tried to defeat gravity a few times too many. Better stop jumping off roofs in order to prove your point for a while.

Well, no idea. I know I had some Jewish ancestors but I am not Jewish nor do I practice Judaism so... do you feel like you have some sort of sentimental ties to Poland and Germany?

Yeah, I meant to joke but failed.

That must be a tense border. Almost a century now of:

"Hey."

"Hello."

"Everything good over there?"

"Yeah."

"Good, good. Crops doing okay?"

"Not zat bad. You?"

"Fine, fine. Anyone...uh...anyone thinking about maybe, you know, invading anyone?"

"No. Nobody has said anything. We're doing fine over here."

"Good, good. Okay. Well. See you tomorrow."

This is quite clear :P

I only know of one family member who actually fought in WW2. A young man, conscripted and killed almost immediately. From what my Grandmother has told me, it was a terrible place.
