The point being, the matter is solved (Abortion is here to stay alongside linguistic prescriptivism). Yet people seem hell bent on whipping that poor bastard horse out of the grave.

So what's next?
Do supermarkets and fast food chains must stop selling food when some religious group has fasting. Because it would be offensive to sell food during this time...
If store wants to write Merry Christmas on a banner they have every right to do so.

Also, the "war of Christmas" is bullshit. We need to have a serious discussion about the much more serious war Christmas has been waging on Thanksgiving and Halloween for decades now. Christmas must be pushed back across the Black Friday border so that Thanksgiving and Halloween can have their days in peace!
More to the point: Not a Christian here, and I give precisely zero fucks whether someone tells me "Merry Christmas!" or "Happy holidays!" and so on. ALL of the happy/merry expressions basically translate to mean the same damned thing: "I wish you well."
If you're a Christian that gets bent out of shape over "Happy holidays" or an atheist that gets bent out of shape over "Merry Christmas!" UR BOTH DOIN IT RONG.

2. Use 'Happy Holidays' or create some sort of secular holiday for everyone to enjoy. This will make Christians mad.
3. Promote Christmas and Christmas only, which will make everybody but Christians mad.
4. Leave it as it is, which Christians are getting angry about.
Which one sounds best to you?
