Here's a real political compass test

Postby Ripoll » Mon Dec 08, 2014 1:50 pm

This is the test http://www.people-press.org/quiz/political-typology/

These are my results http://www.people-press.org/quiz/politi ... y/results/

Next Generation Left

Generally young, well-educated and financially comfortable, the Next Generation Left have very liberal attitudes on many issues, including homosexuality, abortion, the environment and foreign policy. While overall supportive of an activist government, most are wary of expanding the social safety net. Most also have relatively positive views of Wall Street’s impact on the economy. While most affiliate with the Democratic Party or lean Democratic, few consider themselves strong Democrats.

I thought the quiz was pretty solid, post how you did and what you got in a similar format!
- Moderate Right Winger
- New Englander Liberal
-Profoundly Patriotic
-Objective and Pragmatic

I align myself with the democratic party, but I respect various moderate conservatives such as John Huntsman, John McCain, etc.

Political Compass | Economic 1.88 Social 0.77

Pro - Capitalism, Adam Smith, Mixed Economies, Radical Centrism, Moderates, Free and Fair trade, Affordable Care Act, Globalisation, Democracy.

Con - Socialism, Communism, Anarchism, Political Extremism, Self Righteous Atheists, Central Planning, libertarians, gold standard, and Ron Paul

Wow, another quiz that recognizes liberalism as the only existing political ideology. How insightful...

Steadfast Conservative
This overwhelmingly Republican group holds very conservative attitudes across most issues, including social policy and the size and scope of government. However, they generally are critical of business and Wall Street. Overall, Steadfast Conservatives also express highly negative attitudes toward immigrants and take a skeptical view of U.S. global involvement. Compare groups on key issues.

Solid Liberal

Highly educated and affluent, Solid Liberals strongly support the social safety net and take very liberal positions on virtually all issues. Most say they always vote Democratic and they are unflagging supporters of Barack Obama. Solid Liberals are very optimistic about the nation’s future and are the most likely to say that America’s success is linked to its ability to change, rather than its reliance on long-standing principles. On foreign policy, Solid Liberals overwhelmingly believe that good diplomacy – rather than military strength – is the best way to ensure peace.

----

But really, this is only suitable to American politics. "Solid liberal" in the USA is probably a moderate socialist or social democrat on other countries.

Hmm. How enlightening. I guess I'm not a socialist after all, but a solid liberal. This is clearly superior.

my best fit it young outsider

This relatively young, largely independent group holds a mix of conservative and liberal views. And while more lean toward the Republican Party than the Democratic Party, Young Outsiders generally express unfavorable opinions of both major parties. They are largely skeptical of activist government, as a substantial majority views government as wasteful and inefficient. Yet many diverge from the two conservative typology groups – Steadfast Conservatives and Business Conservatives – in their strong support for the environment and many liberal social policies.

Its interface was extremely good and user friendly, but it doesn't go deep enough, uses a binary answer system, and makes too many guesses on the individual.

For example, I am actually very critical of the President, I am disappointed that he isn't bold enough to push for thing she wants, then again I cannot blame him in good faith given that I do in fact blame the Government for being a rotten piece of shit, and our media being pants on head retarded.

Though I'm not "Oh, Obama uses Drones! Thats makes him Conservative!" How the flying fuck that makes him Conservative is beyond me, I think that would make him more fucking Liberal...damn...just had to get that off my chest.

Not at all. American liberalism has nothing in common with socialism. This is why I hate these political tests, just because I'm not conservative it assumes I'm liberal.
