Sweat tea is delicious. I personally like my tea hot or cold, doesn't matter to me either way.

The map is seriously flawed. It looks at "dry" municipalities as if no alcohol were consumed there, which is not true.

Did you know that Tulsa was "dry"? You cannot buy alcohol at a restaurant or bar.

But they allow for "private clubs", so if you want to go to a bar, just pay a one dollar membership fee and drink all you want (just think of it as a cover charge). As for the restaurants, every woman carries some small bottles of booze in her bag, which is permitted, and of course the restaurant will provide the ice. Some will even provide you with a glass of mixer to which you add you liquor.

The result is the same, only gilded with a patina of righteousness.

That way Tulsa can uphold the two things it values most highly: Christian morality, and drinking.

I'm going to admit something off the bat, I've only read the first page.

That said, the OP relies entirely on southern stereotypes and poorly formed hypothesis.

I live in South Carolina, the first state to say "F*** YOU. SLAVERY IS AWESOME!" I'll admit we have a bunch of racists and rednecks here and we're all very afraid of foreigners but those aren't the source of the "problems" we face nor can they be solved with alcohol.

What problems do "southern" states face? Poor education (comparatively), poverty, debt and vanishing business. You want to tell me that alcohol will help any of those?

No, you add the sugar and then cool it. If you do it the other way then you've got unsweetened cold tea with sugar at the bottom of the glass.

Maybe that's why so much Southern hip-hop talks about codeine. It's a downer and everybody's too worked up with all the heat and the history of oppression.

More importantly we have weed.

My state is #1 for underage binge drinking. Well, that is the only thing to do up here.

Maybe he's eating something hot. Or it's hot outside. Basically, any situation where hot tea would be unpleasant.

Well, you are generally refreshing and pleasant, so one could be forgiven if they mistook you for sweet tea. :p

That's what Coke and milkshakes are for.

I'm an American with Southern ancestors. It was inevitable.

Heresy. Anyone who says "we don't have Coke, is Pepsi okay?" should be tried for murder.

Yes. Here in the South, all Cola is referred to simply as "Coke". That is how things are.

Also here in the south, Pepsi is assuredly not Coke. Pepsi is a communist plot. :p
We should probably get back on topic at some point.

Oh hey, that explains why I like Pepsi then.
Yes, we should.
