I like to use small batches of Paul Newman's, which is just relabeled (proper spelling "relabelled") from Green Mountain (Fair Trade certified).

It is not harsh and bitter like Peet's.

I mellow it with hazelnut creamer (sometimes double).

Everyone says my coffee is best; i was the favorite in the faculty lounge.

Black coffee. The only acceptable 'creamer' is Irish Cream or Whiskey (or, in a pinch, cigar ashes or *shudder* flavored alcohols), otherwise you aren't drinking coffee you're drinking a frou-frou drink that uses some of the same ingredients as coffee by accident.

I hold no particular preference within those constraints however. I've never cared about going to Starbuck's or any other 'coffee house' type place because the Folgers/Maxwell-House/Yuban/gas-station stuff always satisfies me greatly and I'm morally opposed to paying in excess of $1 for a cup of coffee. In fact, Yuban might even be my favorite, and I've had multiple people tell me it's shit coffee. It might even be shit coffee. But I grew up on that shit every morning having six or seven cups with my dad bullshitting, so I think I grew to love the shit.

For medical reasons I started drinking it black a few years ago.

Now I find that it's hard to drink it any other way*. Right now it's drip at home and areopress at the school.

*Excepting my beloved gingerbread lattes. Those ALWAYS have a place. Just a few more days...

Oh, and I've found that Japan is currently on a conbini coffee revolution. GOOD coffee for about 100 yen. Good times, good times.

The poll and most of the responses seem to be answering the question "what kind of additional crap do you like in your coffee?" Favorite coffee choices should be varieties like "Jamacia Blue Mountain", "Hawaiian Kona", "Indonesian Java" or levels of roasting like "light", "medium". and "dark".

Title should be changed to "What is your favorite overpriced trendy hot sweetened beverage". Heretics.

Were half of these names, like latte and frappuccino, inventions of a marketing team? Because they all appeared suddenly out of nowhere (well probably Seattle) in about 2000?

The hell is "white coffee"?

I like them all, but I usually just drink regular coffee since I have easier access to it I drink it with flavored or sweet cream and a little bit of stevia. And the stronger the coffee, the better.

Yes. How does that make you feel, little coffeeless peasant? Alone and afraid, sobbing quietly to yourself at night as you think of the superior coffee drinkers? Knowing you'll never be part of the Master Race?

Depends on the situation and the quality.

When I'm getting a coffee from the vending machine at my faculty building then I always go for milk and sugar. Most of the time I go for a cappuccino or a latte, but occasionally an espresso when I need it.

Ew, bitter, bitter café.

Good caffeine sources, that are actually tasty, too:

Mate, especially homemade. (Makes you pee a lot, so good for the kidneys; has other health benefits.)

Guaraná soft drink, by the decent firms. (Basically sugar and nothing else, but much better to me than the vast majority of other flavors, except actual decent grape soft drink.) Don't take Guaraná Antarctica or anything by Coca-Cola as your standard for a guaraná soft drink, they taste like banana peel tea to me.

Açaí (the Rio de Janeiro recipe isn't actual açaí without banana and guaraná syrup). (Nutritional levels are over 9000 - it's the most nutrient-dense fruit discovered so far; it's my main source of omega 3, 6 and 9, and helps to keep my skin healthy.) Depending on who makes it, it is so sweet you will want to lick the floor, like on that Simpsons episode. Resist it.

Actual açaí without banana and guaraná syrup tastes like the floor itself. No, seriously, it tastes earthy as all hell.

We consume them iced. :P

Pro: Communism/anarchism, Indigenous rights, MOGAI stuff, bodily autonomy, disability rights, environmentalism
Meh: Animal rights, non-harmful religion/superstition, militant atheism, left-leaning reform of capitalism
Anti: Dyadic superstructure (sex-gender birth designation and hierarchy), positivism, conservatism, imperialism, Zionism, Orientalism, fascism, religious right, bending to reactionary concerns before freedom/common concern, fraudulent beliefs and ideologies

Formerly "Hetalian Indie Rio de Janeiro".

Compass: -10.00, -9.13
S-E Ideology: Demc. Socialist (92% ditto/Marxist, 75% Anarchist/Social democrat, 0% etc)
S-E school of thought: Communist (100% ditto, 96% Post-Keynesian)

Though this says I'm a social democrat, I'm largely a left communist.
