I understand how square cube law works. I have a working understanding of physics, and I know what volume is.

I understand any sort of a mechanized armor taller than one story would be impractical. Who said they had to be practical? They're fucking badass.

Any larger than simple power armor is impractical. The suit's articulation points have to line with the driver's, because bones don't like to bend.

Well if we're getting into suits a single story suit is still possible. The thigh portions simply need to be normal length, with extended calves. There is no reason for powered arms, so they would remain the same length.

But sitting down mechs are possible as well. Much more complicated, but feasible per our laws of physics. A two story height may be achievable in 100 years.


But yes, because of cost and mobility, anything larger than a suit of powered armor would be impractical.
