Exactly, we invent names for things and thereafter that is what they are named, because things do not have names as a property of their existence. When the IAU makes a definition for what counts as a planet they are not saying that this should be their definition of a planet, as if the decision of how the IAU defines a planet is somehow separate from the IAU.
What the IAU defines as a planet is not an opinion. Whether one likes that definition or not is an opinion, but what their definition is is a fact.
So it seems you might still be confused. What the IAU decides to define as a planet is just that: the IAU definition of a planet. It isn't the only definition of a planet.

And I never said it was. What I said is that the IAU can't be wrong about what they consider to be a planet. And they can't, it's just tautological.

For me there are and always will be only seven planets, seven wanderers in night sky seen by naked eye.

The ISU decided that there were three classifications that needed to be met in order for something to be a planet. Pluto did not meet them all, so it was considered a dwarf planet. Some people say that dwarf planets are planets, but if all dwarf planets were considered planets then the solar system would have more than 50 planets.
In the end there was considerable outrage. But what do you think NSG? What was and is your personal opinion on the matter. Do you agree with their ruling? Will Pluto always remain a planet in your eyes?

An excellent example of why allowing unrestricted immigration of people with a very different culture might not be the best idea ever :P

The Earth is NOT a planet by the new criteria, so therefore their definitions of 'planet' are wrong.

It doesn't ONE set of criteria to be considered a planet. It DOES fit others. For that reason, some people consider it a planet while others do not.
