Why do you need to see a cardiologist?

As to the OP, nah, i don't lift weights, but I have a physically demanding job.

I don't know how to qualify what a 'max' lift is. The heaviest I've picked up a 200lb person.

Mine was a 50kg cement sack I guess when I was ~60-70kg.

I was a good 150 when I was picking up the 200lb guy.

I proceeded to run a good 25~ meters with him.

I was effectively dead after.

Squat 195 kg and deadlift 230 kg. Used to be able to hang clean 115 kg.

Monday - Deadlift/Shoulder Press
Tuesday - Front Squat/Strict Pull-Ups
Wednesday - Hang Clean/Push Press
Thursday - Back Squat/Bench Press
Friday - Deadlift/Push Jerk

Hour long light walk before breakfast 2-3 times a week. Might replace the Thursday Back Squat with an Overhead Squat if I want to do some skill work. Every day may or may not be replaced with a CrossFit WOD depending.

I used to work out, but nowadays with the work I do weekly in one way or another around the house with my dad lifting, holding, and otherwise moving my body and doing hard work I haven't needed of it as much.

I hope to be Deadlifting by the end of the year. Those are exactly the kind of heavy compound exercises I wish I was doing now. I Bench Press and Leg Press, but nothing compares to Deadlifting.

Leg press is useful for bodybuilding type training (hypertrophy and what not), but I train for performance, so I don't use it.

Apart from the obvious mass and strength increase? Look at it this way. You feel great after a workout and know you've been productive. Sure opens the way for a good day. Makes so much sense it rhymes.

With work and school I tend not to get to the gym much mostly Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have long periods of time between the end of my shift and the start of my classes. Normally Tuesdays are More power lifts like Squat, Bench and Clean while Thursdays are generally saved for Olympic lifts like Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and Clean & Press with other things throw in to help workout the smaller muscles as well as help build up on muscles which I've aready worked but in a different way to round out the strength of the muscle.

So, I started back in November. However...I'm not really a 'gym dude' (despite having gone to the gym six days a week since November...), I have a routine, I only know about what half of them are called. It wasn't 'designed' so much as decided on based on a lot of basically arbitrary things. Through tomorrow at least only have two divisions, chest/arms/upper back and abdomen/lower back/legs Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday respectively. Basically two routines alternating through the week. I also bicycle the five miles to and from the gym including the rather unfortunate hills and valleys. I bought a mongoose mountain bike for the kid in me who thought mongoose bikes were the business. They have not been the business of a while, and my particular mountain bike is kind of terrible. But whatever, it was cheap.

Next week I'm starting a new routine providing I actually come up with it. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR NOTES. I know that a lot of you have a lot of experience and are eager to help etc., but I didn't even want to post in this thread because the overwhelming and contradictory advice thing just gets to be too much. I picked one person, the nice gym lady, and I listen to her and she more or less lets me do things I feel comfortable with.

At this stage I've lost a little over 70 lbs. If you're being generous and looking at it in the right light, there are hints of definition forming on my arms, my shoulders actually kind of look sort of muscular, and my calves which have always been big now have definition. But, I'm still more or less a giant sack of crap. According to the zapper deally and some math I have more or less 30 some odd pounds to lose, but not really because I'm still building muscle and the calculation was sort of based on static non-fat mass. Mostly that shit just confuses me. I'll be able to tell when I'm not a giant sack of crap...when it looks right, that's where I'm headed, whatever the weight is.

Rio, I'm disappointed. At New Year's you were so enthusiastic about this.

Lifting without the food to augment body mass doesn't build muscle.

He would be a skinny bodybuilder.

I do four sets of 50 sit-ups every day, and alternate between two and four sets of ten push ups per day. No real reason for any of this, just felt like I needed to be more active when Netflix binging.

I also generally walk about three miles a day because I hoof it everywhere.
