I usually discuss philosophy on NSG, and can only take ideologies seriously if they are anchored in accepted political philosophy. If your reasoning for being a communist is because it's the total opposite of the current system and being an outcast makes you feel edgy, to me that's insulting. It's insulting because political philosophy is taken less seriously when that's the kind of stuff people defend their arguments with.
